The 6 sample questions as a list

    A) Erziehung
    B) Beziehung
    C) Bildung
    D) Ausbildung
    A) Erziehung

Erziehung is upbringing, the way parents raise a child: bei der Erziehung ziemlich streng = quite strict in bringing me up. Bildung means education in the sense of schooling and knowledge, so it does not fit rules about coming home.
    Families and Communities

    A) Anschrift
    B) Heimat
    C) Umgebung
    D) Unterkunft
    B) Heimat

Die Heimat is the place where one truly feels at home, the emotional sense the second sentence confirms. Unterkunft (lodging) and Anschrift (postal address) are practical words with no emotional meaning; sei and fühle are Konjunktiv I reporting what Grandma says.
    Personal and Public Identities

    A) schlichte, funktionale Formen ohne überflüssigen Schmuck.
    A) schlichte, funktionale Formen ohne überflüssigen Schmuck.

The Bauhaus school of art and design stood for plain, functional forms (schlicht und funktional) and industrial materials, with no decoration for its own sake. Gilded Baroque ornament is exactly what it rejected.
    Beauty and Aesthetics

The Abitur is the final exam at the end of secondary school (usually at a Gymnasium) that qualifies students to study at a university. It is not set by the universities themselves, and vocational training ends with a different certificate.

Plastic and metal packaging goes in the Gelbe Tonne or Gelber Sack (yellow bin or bag) so it can be recycled; that is a core part of German Mülltrennung (sorting trash). The organic bin (Biotonne) is for food and garden waste, not packaging.
    Global Challenges

    A) Sehr geehrter Damen und Herren,
    B) Hallo zusammen,
    C) Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
    D) Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,
    C) Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren (Dear Sir or Madam) is the formal opening when the recipient is unknown; geehrte takes the plural ending because it refers to Damen und Herren. Sehr geehrter is used only when writing to one man, as in Sehr geehrter Herr Klein.
